What inspired you to begin your lifestyle transformation?

I knew I had gained a lot of weight and was shocked after not stepping on a scale for a long time to find that my weight had climbed to my pregnancy weight. I knew I had to make a change. As a mom, juggling a career and raising children, there was never enough time to work out, but I decided it was time to make my health a priority and make the time. A friend of mine encouraged me to give Hard Core Fit a try.

How did Hard-Core Fit help you achieve your goal and how have the results affected your life?

After the first week, I immediately began to see results. I felt great from eating right and exercising. The meal plan was easy to follow and the Hard-Core Fit family provided a supportive environment encouraging success.

What inspired you to begin your lifestyle transformation?

After my fourth child and entering my mid 30's I decided I'm going to take better care of myself. Heart disease runs in my family, my body looked different, I wasn't happy with my aging appearance and I also had no energy.  I was thinking about joining a gym but I had never seen results from going in the past. Then I seen the email for the Hard Core Fit Challenge. What caught my eye was the meal plan and personal trainer. So I figured I'd give it a try. I need someone to tell me what to do. 

How did Hard Core Fit help you achieve your goal and how have the results affected your life?

The first time going to HCF, we were explained a brief overview of the gym and how it works and Dr. Tony went over a meal plan. Once I left the gym that night I went straight to the grocery store to pick up my new healthy options. As far as the eating goes I've realized the portions I was eating was way too much and I was also skipping meals as well. This was not helping me any. While at the gym Dr. Tony switches up our exercise routine daily so we achieve results. Dr. Tony and Shannon are always there to make sure you are doing the exercises correctly and giving you that extra push. I've never got that from going to a gym. You don't feel lost at HCF.  I'm now down 9lbs and 2inches off of my waist with more energy than before.

What inspired you to begin your lifestyle transformation?

After a "bad" check up at the doctors I decided to make some changes. First and foremost was to quit smoking. Being already very much overweight I knew that I needed to be  very careful to avoid any more weight gain. I decided, once and for all, to change everything...stop smoking, lose weight and eat better. About that time a friend brought the Hard Core Fit 21 day challenge to my attention and I decided to give it a try, honestly not expecting too much.

How did Hard-core Fit help you achieve your goal and how have the results affected your life?

Hard-core Fit has given me the tools to succeed. As simple as it sounds, if you follow the food guidelines and show up at the gym you will get results!  I just had to follow what Dr. Tony said! There isn't a quick fix or a magic pill, just eat better and workout. For the first time in a very long time I feel hopeful that I can actually do this!! I feel better and have more energy then I have had in years!! I still have a long way to go but with Hard-Core Fit I believe I can do it!

Lisa V's Success Story

I joined HCF for the PTA Challenge but for me it was more than just making money for our school. I wanted to get back to being healthier, and fit.  After two consecutive pregnancies, the first being twins. I had gained a lot of weight. During my first pregnancy I was on very restricted bed rest at 18 weeks and during this time I put on a lot of weight. After starting to lose that weight I became pregnant again after nine months and put the weight right back on.  The following years were difficult for me to gain control of weight with the changes my body went through adding the stress of not just three children but three children on the autism spectrum.  My life was all about them. Now with them being in school, I wanted a way to regain who I am. I tried all the popular trendy "diets" from weight watchers to Isagenix but those life styles were not for me and they did not include the fitness component. 
HCF gave me the perfect combination of both the nutritional aspect and fitness aspect that I was looking for. After the six week Challenge I signed up for a year. HCF gave me the variety I was looking for in working out as well as a comfortable, friendly environment.

"I needed something to jump start myself back into living a healthy life again. At one time, I had been in great shape. Worked out daily, ate healthy, felt awesome. And then I slacked off, typical story. A friend of mine had been pushing me to join HCF for close to a year before the challenge came along. She sent me the email and it sounded almost too good to be true. A meal plan, a personal trainer and all the advice I needed and wanted? I just couldn't let it pass me by. So I took my lazy and tired self to HCF and haven't looked back. The first few weeks I felt like I was going to die. Apparently a year of no exercise isn't good for me!But slowly I started seeing the difference. My clothes fit better and overall, I felt better. I wasn't tired all the time. I wasn't cranky all the time. I have my energyback. I'm wearing clothes I thought I'd never be back into. Yes, HCF is a gym. But it's also a community of people helping each other strive for the best, lead by a man who has more energy than should be allowed by one person. I was so tired of not being able to do anything due to being so overweight.  Two friends gave me a push in the right direction.  I am so much happier than I was.

I started at HCF by doing a weight loss challenge.  Now I am able to move better and also breath better.  I am able to do more physical things like walking and able to help my mother a lot more around the house.  I am also eating a lot better with the help of the meal plan from the challenge.  I pack my lunches and smacks with better and healthier choices.  All of this is to keep me on the right track in my lifestyle transformation.

My story.
Joined HCF in Oct 2013 as part of a corporate challenge. It was the perfect blend of nutrition assistance and physical fitness to help this 40 plus working mom get back into that pre baby shape. After the challenge ended, I became a member of HCF because the other members were welcoming and helpful and Tony tailored each workout to fit my "old age" i.e., the knees and my asthma. My son, Jake was starting high school. He was over 200lbs and had no self confidence. He was embarrassed by his body and did not like himself very much.

• What inspired you to begin your training at Hard-Core Fit?

I wanted to become a quicker, stronger athlete. I knew as a catcher, this program would benefit me in many different aspects.

• How did Hard-Core Fit help you achieve your goal and how have the results affected your athletic performance?

I have improved tremendously as an all around athlete. At a recruiting camp, the coaches were impressed with my endurance and quickness behind the plate. I also had to do a highly intense workout designed for one day and rest the next, however, I was able to do back to back days of this workout with no signs of fatigue.

"I have always included fitness into my lifestyle. After years of playing soccer I took about a year off from it all because it overwhelmed my life at such a young age. As I got older I knew I had to put fitness back into my life and the simple fact that I missed the challenge in my life. "Starting out at HCF, I could only do about 5 pushups and a few good form situps. I was also one of the slowest players on my lacrosse team and it showed.  After 3 months in HCF my body has changed tremendously.  I can now do 50+ pushups and 12 Jackknife situps, which went horribly during my orientation.  The best though, I am one of the fastest players on my team and got to watch the jaws of my teammates drop the first day of practice this year.  HCF has given me so much more speed and strength for Lacrosse, but also energy to get through school. No one works harder than the HCF athletes.

HCF has changed my life completely in just 3 months. I went from always being in the middle of the pack for Lacrosse to leading the front.  My balance, coordination, strength and especially speed is tremendously greater than what I ever imagined. I was never an athlete and became conscious about getting fit only 5 years ago.  My basic routine was 20-30 min. cardio  followed by light weight lifting at the gym.  I never liked working out but have stayed committed with minimal results attempting to slow down my middle aged weight gain ( with no weight loss ).  Dr. Riello explained in detail the Hard Core Fit program but it just seemed simply impossible for someone like me to do well with it.  I did not want to try it, but I finally agreed to give it a chance.  I went to the orientation class to get more familiar with the system, the equipment and the exercises.  Watched a little of an in session class, did the orientation but my fears were not gone.  I still felt it was not for me.  However, Dr. Riello assured me I could go at my own pace so I decided to try the Hard Core Fit class.  Now, after my second class, I have to admit it is actually pretty fun.  It moves you so quickly from exercise to exercise you don't have a chance to get bored or concentrate on how difficult it is.  It is truly a new way to bring excitement and fun to your workouts with great results as well.  I am happy I tried it and am excited to continue and think about the possibilities as my body continues to respond."
